In this guide, we’ll explore how to effortlessly embed music from five different platforms into your Notion pages. Music can undoubtedly elevate the ambiance of your workspace, and we’re excited to show you how to seamlessly integrate it.
Understanding Embeds in Notion
Embedding music on Notion is simple. To start, type “/embed” to create an embed block and insert the link of the music source. While we’ll explore five specific platforms, you can try other alternatives by using the “/embed” command and pasting the link directly.
1. Spotify
Spotify is a popular platform for music. To embed an album or a song, navigate to the desired music, click the three dots, choose “Share,” and select “Copy Album Link.” Then, paste the link in the Notion page using “/embed.” Note that with Spotify, you can listen to 30-second snippets of each song.
2. YouTube
YouTube offers a vast array of music. Find a video with the music you prefer, click “Share,” and copy the link. Paste the link into Notion using the “/embed” command to add the video to your page. YouTube videos often provide both music and visual elements.
3. Deezer
Similar to Spotify, Deezer allows music embedding. Find the music, copy the link via the “Share” option, and use the “/embed” command to add it to your Notion page. Deezer also has limitations on the length of the playable song.
4. SoundCloud
SoundCloud is great for longer music. Copy the song link via the “Share” option and embed it into Notion using “/embed.” SoundCloud enables embedding longer tracks compared to some other platforms.
5. Apple Music
For Apple Music, obtaining the link and embedding it is similar to other platforms. After getting the link, use the “/embed” command to add the music to your Notion page. Apple Music allows playing a longer segment, typically 1 minute and 30 seconds, providing a more extended snippet compared to Spotify.
By following these steps, you can infuse your Notion workspace with your favorite music from various platforms. Each platform offers a unique listening experience, and you can choose based on your preferences and the duration you’d like to hear.
Which Platform Suits You Best?
Out of the five platforms mentioned, which one do you find most convenient for your Notion pages? Are there any other music platforms you use for embedding?
