What is Pleexy?
Pleexy is a productivity tool that can combine your task management apps so that you can access your tasks on multiple platforms. Pleexy can work with Todoist, Microsoft To Do, and Google Tasks.
For example, it can connect those tools and others, such as Notion. You can check off your to-do item in Todoist, and it will automatically check off the same to-do in Notion.
Compared with other automation tools, setting up is much easier and faster. You can also easily see a log of all the tasks you’ve created, deleted, and edited!
Connecting Notion & Todoist
The first step to connecting your Notion & Todoist is to ensure you have an account with Notion, Todoist, and Pleexy.
Once you have that, log in to Pleexy and choose “Sign in with Todoist.”
Then, you can choose the tool to connect Todoist with. In this case, you should select Notion.
Depending on whether you want to connect a custom Notion task database to Todoist or a projects & tasks Notion template, make sure to check the instructions in the following sections!
Connect a Notion Task Database
If you would like to simply connect a Notion task database, make sure you have a Notion database in your workspace that has a “Status” property. This is important to make sure that you can connect it to Todoist.
The first step will be to select the correct database and give access to it. If you have multiple connections make sure to keep all pages connected even if you’re adding a new one.
Then, Select the database you want to connect for this particular sync.
Next, you’ll be guided through several steps and options to configure this sync. You can choose how to set the “Done” status, which tasks you want to sync, and more!

Connect Notion’s Project & Tasks Template
If you would like to use Notion’s Projects & Tasks Template to sync with Todoist, you can start by making sure you have the Project & Tasks template in your Notion workspace.
You can find it by going to “Templates” and searching for “Projects & Tasks” and it is free to download.
After that, you can go back to Pleexy and make sure that you have allowed access to Projects & Tasks.
The next step is the setup process. This is going to allow you to connect not only tasks but also projects! Make sure to follow the video below for a detailed explanation on all of the steps.
Tips & Tricks for Pleexy
There are a few things to keep in mind as you do a 2-way sync between Notion and Todoist. After trying Pleexy, here is what I have learned that can help you to make the most out of this tool!
Sync Time: Just like any other sync tool, Pleexy also takes a small amount of time before you’ll see the changes reflected. This is completely normal, so the best thing to do is not to check too much back and forth between the two apps. Let Pleexy do its work!
Choose Only Your Tasks: A useful tip when using Pleexy is to choose to sync only tasks assigned to you. This ensures that your task list is always relevant to your needs and you’ll see exactly what tasks you need to accomplish.
Check Sync Settings: There are many sync settings you can apply including which status tasks should be created into Todoist. In many cases, it could be more useful to add “In Progress” tasks to your Todoist tasks so that you don’t have a huge and overwhelming task list waiting for you.
Todoist Labels: Setting up labels can help you to create tasks from Todoist only when that label is used. This can help to make sure that you don’t sync every task, but only those that are relevant to Notion.
Pleexy Support: Pleexy’s support is fantastic! If you ever run into any problems, make sure to ask for help. You’ll find that there is a chat on the bottom right hand corner where you can easily contact someone for help with your Pleexy connection.
